Tonight will NOT be a LIVE show.... We will be replaying the "Celebration of the Life of Buddy Jack Roberts, of the Fabulous Freebirds". This show was shortly after Buddy passed away. The original air date 12/5/12 and Warning it is an hour and half, plus there are some "interesting" stories so listen up!! A dear friend of the show and friend of all the Freebirds, Bill Colville, called in as well as we were surprised by the one and only Michael PS Hayes who called in to talk about his dear friend and brother! Buddy was one hell of a worker in the ring but an even great man outside of it! There will NEVER be another Buddy Jack. God Bless you Buddy, Janice and Brandon! Next week, Wed. Celebrating Percy Pringle III - Many of us from the "good old days" of Wrestling remember a squeely voice, funny faces, portly man and a heart of gold that managed many throughout the South as Percy Pringle III; others more recently know him as The Undertakers care taker & Kane's father in WWF/WWE, Paul Bearer; more importantly he was an amazing man, husband, father and friend, Bill Moody! Percy was a true class act from the time he stepped foot into a wrestling dressing room! He deserved everything that this Business offered and afforded him. But his 1st business of being a mortician served him well later on when he became Paul Bearer in the WWF/WWE. Percy passed away March 5th at the age of 58. It was a shock to his family and the wrestling world. He will be greatly missed by many around the World. Tonight a few from the World Class/Sportatorium days & a current Indy great will be reliving stories about the one and only Percy Pringle the 3rd! During the early 80s he worked in the International Championship Wrestling organization for Angelo Poffo, father of Randy Savage & Lanny Poffo, where he managed such tag teams as the Devils Duo. And for the Culkins in MS. He is recorded to have wrestled 13 matches throughout his career as well. He debuted in 1976 after being trained by Rck Conners and Great Mephisto (Frankie Cain). We recieved so many comments, messages and questions about last weeks show Honoring Buddy Roberts and had to leave so many callers on the lines that we decided to at least "begin" tonight's show continuing to Honor the Life of Buddy Jack.... well we were not disappointed. Our dear friend and Freebird Fanatic, host of the Freebirds Fantasia group on FB Perry Smith, who held the entire show last week and is a faithful MC listener, was our first caller of the night. He had great Fan memories of the FFs. Then we were surprised by the widow of Terry "Bam Bam" Gordy, Connie Gordy Bagley, who had first hand stories of the "good ole days" and were then joined by Lori, Michael P.S. Hayes' wife, where they continued to give tribute to a great man, husband and father; and we rounded our night of Celebration out with Buddy's son, Brandon, calling in to "set the record" straight about some mis represented facts about his dad's passing and then to give first hand stories of growing up the fabulous freebird as a most humble dad! Honoring the Life of Dale Hey, Buddy "Jack" Roberts, the Workhorse 1/3 of the Fabulous Freebirds, 1/2 of the Hollywood Blondes, tremendous wrestler, great friend, husband and father! Several friends that knew Buddy and felt like family will be calling in to tell their stories and share memories. This show was a dedication to the honor and celebration of Buddy Jack Roberts. Our dear friend Bill Colville called in first to share a few of his memories and stories of Buddy; then we were Honored to have the remaining living member of the Fabulous Freebirds, Michael P.S. Hayes, call in and spend the just about the remainder of the show talking about the life and times of the Freebirds and Buddy and Terry. So many stories and memories of a great man, wrestler and time in this business really. This show went just about an hour and a half and we still left so many callers on the board awaiting to talk. So we have decided to bring back some of those callers next Wed. If you Loved the WCCW days and the Fabulous Freebirds, BUddy Roberts or loathed them for that matter, you don't want to miss this show....

Mantell's Corral, Cowboy Johnny Mantell's thoughts & ideas on the Squared Circle. John traveled the world wrestling for 30 years. He will tell stories of wrestling past, thoughts on the state of today's wrestling industry & ideas for the future of wrestling. Today's wrestling world is not the same as it use to be. There is way too many Marks, Jabrones who believe they know the business but know absolutely nothing. I hate hearing about these shows being put together by these people. It makes this business that has been so good to me look terrible. I will explain this as well. Also, listen for info about upcoming seminars, clinics where you can learn the real art! Also, as some of my fans & friends know, I have also been involved in horse racing since birth in California. I will talk a lot of the state of Horse Racing today in the State of Texas and Nationally. We are about to loose Horse Racing in Texas which is a horrible misjustice! If you know me, I will tell the truth, like it or not. All are my opinions alone. Disclaimer: John has been hit on the head too many times to count so the comments made at any time are his own.
