This is the core of our dilemma as Christians. Even as Latter day Saints we focus on the body and its rewards in terms of family and often miss the spiritual message behind our doctrine, I believe.
A Course In Miracles seems to suggest that we need to let go of our perception of the body as the "end all be all" of what life means to gain True Perception. As a Latter day Saint, I believe in the ultimate perfection and resurrection of the body but I can also identify with our need to get over ourselves to be able to come to remembrance of the love and omnipresence of God.
