When we are striving to do the will of the Lord we will be facing opposition. That is a given. I am on the third volume of Portrait of a Harlot/Saint and thought that I would be completing it on May 28th so I took a week off from my radio programs "to wrap it up". That did not occur though I did get the first of my Gramma's Guide series up and I am happy with that. It can be found on Amazon under Christa-Ann Faith Godsdaughter.
Vanity, distraction (such as other things to learn), conflict with others...all kinds of things get in the way when you decide to place God's will above all and do as he would have you do.
I am doing this program as a witness to myself so that I can get back "in the saddle".
To understand that we must love others from a distance and that we sometimes even need to sustain others as leaders or in their callings even while having a witness that they may have issues themselves is a big thing. We are here to claim our own existence.
Maybe even more than believing in God we need to stretch to believe in ourselves more completely. We need to believe in his belief in us, in his faith that we can do what he sent us here to do.
Some of us will face horrific situations, I think of the veterans of military or those of loss of innocence as witnesses of violence and abuse and childhood. These circumstances where known to us before we came here and God will help us go through them, but we must reach out to him by accepting his love for us. Forgiveness of others and of self is crucial in this journey. He will help us I have no doubt.
