It is important to understand that life must be lived in the mind set of what is the will of Heavenly Father. Along the way we may be at fault with this issue or another but if we do not attempt to justify or make excuse for not doing His will we may still have hearts humble enough to be shown how to repent.
If we follow the way of the world and compare and envy others or consider them better than ourselves, we will have reason to be saddened by how we spent our time here in probation. This is our time to show God that we know and serve him and this is especially so when interacting with people in the church no matter what their calling. It is the calling we need to acknowledge not the man beyond the fact that he has been willing to accept this calling of God. That means that it is still our responsibility how we deal with man and what our relationship with God is. We can not blame it on so and so.
In that way when we meet others we may say in our hearts what does Heavenly Father want me to learn from them, rather than the worldly view of labeling them and then interacting with them accordingly.
This would go for children as well. All creation testify of Christ, especially his children just as they are and they can teach us great things if we will as the Holy Spirit to help us understand what they are teaching us. This is my faith and my hope and I believe that it is grounded in the gospel of Jesus Christ.
