Unexpected circumstances struck my life last week like a storm. I did not do this show on Monday because I was working hard on a book I was trying to finish and the time got away from me. The strength that I receive from bearing witness was important and I could have used the support of it to meet the challenges that I met the next day. I received a call that someone dear to my heart had attempted suicide. The Lord sustained me though through the help of the Holy Ghost and wonderful members of my branch that had a listening ear, offered transportation, and allowed me to be of service. In one of the more personally challenging times I called a sister and she reminded me of a service project that was available. I went to help with that and it was just the Balm of Gilead that I needed as I realized that this is how the Savior supports us through our trials, by giving us others to serve. In fact, now that I think about it this is one thing missing in the life of my loved one. The witness and blessings of service. In serving one another we do the work of the Lord and he in turn lifts us by the power of the Holy Ghost and gives us strength beyond our own. I am grateful for this experience and witness. In Jesus name, amen.
