I want to continue with our discussion about Certainty/Comfort and how we get there. Do we do it in a way that is rewarding and fulfilling? Is it something that can truly be found among the children of men? Is there Certainty in this life? I hope to discuss what can bring us fulfillment in this area and what can be a bit allusive and even damaging if we are not mindful. See you there.  Review: We talked about places in the world that we might seek for certainty. I put in a disclaimer on the program because if we really look at what is stable and Certain it can be very unnerving or disturbing. It is a truth that I believe is important to acknowledge though because if we do not we do not prepare ourselves and we are not able to have presence and "being" in the moment. We looked at areas such as education, health, economy, government, relationships of all sorts, and families. I bore witness that I believe that families is the one place that we might have a fragment of certainty because it is ordained of God. It is something that we take upon us by choice though. Just as life itself will not, I believe, cannot be forced upon intelligence, which is what we are, niether can "the other" be forced upon us. It must be received and welcomed. I believe we all did this in the eternities before we came to this sphere of existence. All of us who are here anyway. I also believe that there are many who chose not to accept the other and they did not progress to this stage of "being". We spoke of depression, pessimism, and being in a victim state as states that give us a sense of Certainty and thus can be counted on,as well as become addicted to. I will not argue a chemical imbalance, but I do not believe that that is just a part of life for the majority of us as some would have us believe. The Rock, the Sure Foundation, spoken of in scripture is Christ. Accepting God's love and our fall may be our one true hope. This is my witness. tnt:)
