I want to explore some thoughts on one of the human needs according to Human Need Psychology. I have worked very hard to get myself in a position where I feel comfortable in the presence of the scriptures and the gospel of Jesus Christ. It is from that place that I wish to discuss the idea of Certainty/Comfort that does logically present itself as a basic human need. I will be discussing it from the viewpoint of how we can find Certainty among mankind and I may pose the question about if it is possible to have this with God and man or must one choose one or the other. Review: We covered how the gospel of Jesus Christ has been the certainty in my life and explored how we might take that into the walk we have in life. I was able to feel good about trusting God's faith in me and taking that a step further and knowing that he has faith in all his children. That does not mean that I do not remember that they can be cruel or cause me harm but that, with this attitude, God's love can fill my being and as I approach people I can remember God's faith and love in them and forgive their errors as I want mine forgiven. Then I can move forward with confidence and with certainty among the children of men. Pessimism, depressive thoughts and behaviors, and insisting on staying in the role of the victim is not where I want to be. I can make my interactions with people richer through my relationship with God and that gives me great comfort and certainty.
