Dr Bernie Siegel is a spiritual teacher who studied medicine and his surgical training took place at Yale New Haven Hospital, West Haven Veteran's Hospital, and the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh.

In 1978 Bernie pioneered a new approach to group and individual cancer therapy called ECaP (Exceptional Cancer Patients). His innovative methods paid particular attention to patients' drawings, dreams, and feelings, breaking new ground in facilitating important lifestyle changes while engaging patients in the healing process.

Bernie retired from general and pediatric surgical practice in 1989.  He has since dedicated himself to humanizing the medical establishment's approach to patients and empowering individuals to play a greater role in their healing process.

He is an international speaker and author of several books, including Love, Medicine & Miracles; 365 Prescriptions for the Soul; Smudge Bunny; and Faith, Hope, & Healing.

In his latest book, The Art of Healing, he shows us how we can tap into our bodies potential to heal. He uses crayon drawings to gain insight into his patients imbalances and illnesses, this book is filled with colour drawings and explanations, as well as inspiring true stories, it offers hands on proven techniques that facilitate miraculous results.

In May 2011, Bernie was honored by the Watkins Review of London, England, as one of the Top 20 Spiritually Influential Living People on the Planet.
