What a great show the Cosmic Citizen is - where else can you find such intelligent guests and intellectual conversation about fascinating topics? Keep up the great work! It's great to hear guests that are not UB readers too - because they will certainly draw more listeners outside the UB community. I'm so looking forward to hearing Pastor Phil Gulley. I'd like to suggest Rev Eric Stetson of Christian Universalist organization as a follow-up guest sometime after Phil Gulley. Anyone who is on the board over at the Christian Universalist .org site would also make a great guest! Great show, though you people said nothing about how the coming freshwater crisis, global warming, plagues and other natural phenomenon also work as masked eugenicists. There is actually a genetic crisis in the animal kingdom as we speak. Allot of species will go extinct as a result of our invasion and destruction of the natural world: The urban jungle literally chokes the natural jungle. The animal kingdom is on the verge of the sixth great mass-extinction.

    Interviews - Zudhi Jasser and Frank Gaffney

    September 5ths program left us with a lot of questions. Each of our guests were critical of Islam to one degree or another, and their reactions left us wondering; how would a reasonable, moderate Muslim answer their objections? This has prompted us to invite a past guest back on the program. Zudhi Jasser will grace us with a return visit. Zudhi is a moderate Muslim deeply concerned about radical infiltration of American mosques. He is director of several documentaries, including THE THIRD JIHAD, which we posted a link to last time he was on the air. Our goal with Zudhi is to address many of the objections raised by our previous guests in the spirit of real, honest, authentic, interfaith dialogue. And yes, we will get his perspective on the Rifqa Bary case.
    In addition, along with Dr. Jasser, our guest for the first half-hour will be Frank Gaffney, president of the Center for Security Policy.

    The Value of Patient and Loving Interfaith Dialogue; Paula Thompson and Ann Garner

    This week host Andre is absent on business; Paula will do the Cosmic Citizen broadcast with her friend Ann Garner.
        Ann has been on our broadcast before and is uniquely qualified to share her experiences in Interfaith activities. She has been actively engaged in interfaith work for 16 years. She has worked extensively with Thanks Giving Square in Dallas, TX, and has been an active member of the Thanks-Giving Foundation’s Interfaith Council since 1995. A minister and a long-time student of the Urantia teachings, Ann has many personal friends from all faith traditions.
        We examine what it means to achieve a “thoroughgoing understanding of your neighbor's motives and sentiments.” The inclusive spirit of Jesus will also be highlighted, who reiterated many times that we must all learn to use the positive and righteous method of overcoming evil with good.
        You are invited to call and share your reflections regarding the value of interfaith dialogue and/or your personal experiences finding common ground with other religionists. Please keep in mind that this week’s show is not to accentuate problems; rather, it’s about finding peaceful solutions. We look forward to exploring how we, as peace loving second-milers, can reach forth to grasp our brothers in love and sweep them on “under spiritual guidance toward the higher and divine goal of mortal existence.”

    Religions of fear and authority and real world consequences

    The Urantia Book teaches that there are three kinds of religion; religions of fear, religions of authority, and religions of the Spirit. This week we will examine what happens when a religion combines a lethal mix of fear and authority.
    Our program will focus on the case of Rifqa Bary, a 17-year-old girl who fled her Muslim family in Ohio in July after converting to Christianity.
    In a YouTube testimony Rifqa reveals her life-threatening situation. When her father threatened to kill her for her conversion, Rifaq ran away to Florida for refuge with a pastor she met on Facebook. Rifqa's fate is now in the hands of Florida's family court system, which could decide to send her back to Ohio.
    Killing a family member for apostasy "honor killings," is justified under the Islamic legal system known as Sharia law.

    Discussing this case and radical Muslim extremism will be our panel of four guests. Our first guest is Tom Trento, head of the Forida Secuurity Counsel, who has been testifying on Rifqa's behalf. Next is Pamela Geller, founder of the Atlas Shrugs website www.atlasshrugs.com and former editor of the New York Observer, who has been blogging extensively about this case. Our other guests will be Nonie Darwish, a Muslim convert to Christianity and author of two books, most recently, Cruel and Usual Punishment, an expose of Shia law, and Hamid Mzdeh, a former Shiite Muslim now a reader of The Urantia Book.
