After our 2012 show last week, we thought it would be interesting and timely to open the phones and explore with you, our listeners, the topic of fear and faith. Are you faithful or afraid? What drives these two great motives?

The Urantia Book says, "Unreasoned fear is a master intellectual fraud practiced upon the evolving mortal soul."

Many on this world are at the mercy of this "master intellectual fraud." Many are, as the UB says, "humanly dislocated....anxious, restless, fearful, uncertain, and unsettled."  Are you experiencing these symptoms of fear? What is making so many of us afraid?  Are we afraid of social disorder, cultural degradation, poverty, want, or perhaps even God?

Jesus declared that he would liberate man from the age-long bondage of animal fear and at the same time enrich human living with the endowments of the new life of spiritual liberty. He boldly stated that truth would make us free. If truth makes us free, why are we still so afraid? Jesus also said that, "Fear is man's chief enslaver."

The Urantia Book also says that "faith is a mighty force for the promotion of personal happiness, individual self-control, social harmony, moral progress, and spiritual attainment." It says that, "Faith is man's true wealth; it is the endowment of virtue and glory." And that, "faith is always triumphant over doubting, for faith is both positive and living."

Are you ready to stop being a slave to fear?  If so, we hope you will tune in and explore these matters of fear and faith with us. Our goal with this episode is to look our Unreasoned Fear in the face, see it for what it is, and abandon it's cold discomfort for the warmth and assurance of genuine LIving Faith.
