For 35 years, he has created... music for documentaries, animated films, dance and theater. Luis has been a producer, arranger or percussionist for Airto Moreira, Flora Purim, Etta James, Jim Messina and more.

In 1980, he was commissioned to write and record "Costa Rica" for his homeland. Luis donated all proceeds to the Red Cross of Nicaragua, a country trying then to fight back from the devastating effects of Civil War.

There is a body of work that Luis Munoz has created that has captured interest all over the world - for the breathtaking creativity and courage that each project has produced.

1988 - "La Verdad" on CBS Records; 1996 - "The Fruit of Eden" on Fahrenheit; 1998 - "Compassion"; 2004 - "Vida"; 2007 - "Of Soul and Shadow" --- and the latest, "Invisible."

Genius composer Anita Brown will be talking about the premiere production of Stand on September 10, 2011 in Nyack, NY and will discuss various aspects of the production process as well as a likely second premiere on September 17, 2011, at the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD.
