A review of some books, movies, pop culture, articles, a bit of music, or anything else that might fit in the scheme...., from a working class perspective.

Tonight's parsing: Finishing up a discussion on he 1974 book "Alive" by Piers Paul Read and the documentaries and movie the story inspired. The story is about the Uruguayan rugby team who were involved in the crash of Uruguayan Air Force Flight 571, which crashed into the Andes Mountains between Chile and Argentina on October 13, 1972. Of the original 45 people on the plane,16 evenually survied for 72 days in the brutal mountains to finally be rescued.  How did they survive?

We have got in the rutine of teasing a second subject, so with that in mind, we have been itch'n to start talking about the 1964 movie, "The Great Escape." The true story of the ordeals of prisoners escaping from a German prison camp during World War II.
