This also gives any person who loves food to learn from and be encouraged by Christians in the Food Service Industry. Meet members of the Christian Chefs Fellowship and others.     Seasoning!

    Hello Family!  Praying you all had your fill of the traditional things we celebrate this time of year!  Well we still have a little more winter to go ...Amen?  And The holiday of Holidays, I hope we can share a little about what the world has done to Christmas, and...What is Christmas?  IN this Season of Seasons, we are called to BE Seasoning...Salt in particular.  But what good is Salt if it loses flavor...and what good are we when we lose....Favor?  Face it Sisters and Brothers this is a stressful time...the world has us by our strings!  It is saying "Hey if you are CHRIST-ian...you gotta go with what WE say about this holiday"...I mean the church ordained it...right?... and the business community endorses it!  in fact highly encourages it!  Unfortunately not for what It means....but for what it does!  It makes us go spend money on things...things that will buy favor with you and in some weird way define who we are as bringers of the light....Kids say "I want I want I want..."  Heck lets be honest WE say " I want I want I want..."  And our children look up to us to satisfy this desire as an expression of our love for them...And we are torn...If we give them the true treasure we get scorned because they did not..."Get" what they wanted...US too.  From then on it is a struggle...Money has taken preeminence over God...The enemy has won a strategic battle...taken many hostages, and we have to continue on in our mission...Routing the Alien Armies! (Hep 11:32-38)  The battle continues...I Know We have Victory!  I know it ...you know it...but like a gift...Now what?  What do we DO with that victory? What do we do with that gift?  The Teasure within...Read those verse...not the traditional Christmas verses...But this is not the time to cave in...to let your guard down.  I slip, I fall, I hear Paul in his crying out to the Lord to remove that thorn from his side...And we all know what kind of pain it has to be to cry out to the LOrd...3 times.  So...All this to say...Seasoning!  (Wheres the segue?!?!  haha)  Gold and Silver have I none....But what I do have I give freely!  GET UP! ( as in don't be down!)  Be encouraged!  Take up your mat ( your life your past your self image) And stop sitting on it, laying on it..pick it up and get it out of here!  The past is a place of reference not a place of residence! 
    On the way to My Father House there is no call for Beggars...He has heard us and answered Mightily!  Jesus and His Victor on the Cross.  He calls us to come put on our wedding garb..that is Put on Christ..and come to the feast!  Be seasoning..as a guest of a party you are part of it!  you are seasoning...Tune in Monday and lets talk about it!

    Uniqey Recipes!

    As discussed at the last show Chef George Moser submitts this recipe for an apple and Pottoe casserole...Sort of a Potato Apple Gratin...Here it is//Enjoy!
    "peel and slice potatoes, I use yukon gold then peel core and slice apples I prefer golden delicious, and peel and slice white onions. then in a buttered cassorole put down a layer of potatoes then the apples then the onion S&P and some butter pats keep layering until casserole dish is full.  Cover with 1/2&1/2 take bread crumbs with chopped parsley mixed in.  Cover the cassarole with it and bake in a 325 until the potatoes are cooked the crust is brown and it is bubbly. I hope you are enjoy it. Great with roast pork,ham,and chicken"

    On a Previous episodes Chef Bob submitted this recipe for Pickled Pumpkin....
    4 lb pumpkin cut into cubes
    1 stick cinnamon
    1 tsp cloves
    1 tsp crushed red peppers
    1 tsp kosher salt
    4 cups vinegar
    3 lbs of sugar

    Now Chef Bob has been busy and forgot to give us a heads up on the exact method

    ChefBrian Did some experimenting and came up with this "solution" (pardon the pun) for the Pickled Pumpkin recipe Chef Bob shared...and I quote:
    "I made the pickled pumpkin yesterday.  It was really good.  Definitely a keeper.  It would go so well at thanksgiving or Christmas.  What I did was to make the marinade, boiled it and poured it over the pumpkin cubes.  I let it sit over night and today I heated the marinade up again and cooked the pumpkin in it for another 5 minutes.  I then put the pumkin pieces into jars and topped them up with the marinade.  Put them in the fridge and voila.  Makes two 1 litre jars or for you foreigners 2 qt."
