A life without rules, what would that look like? What do you feel like when you think about rules? How do rules play out in your life, do you have a lot of rules, or few rules? Do you like to break rules or keep rules? Do you feel guilty when you break a rule? Do rules need to make sense to you in order for you to keep them? Do they feel restrictive, constraining, “controlling”? Let’s take some time and look at the concept or “rules”. Rules done correctly, and rightly, create safety and security, which leads people to be able to relax and healthfully participate in the activity the rules apply to. Healthy rules cause people to flourish and grow. Rules done incorrectly or oppressively for individual gain create fear, bondage, inauthenticity and dishonesty. Unhealthy rules cause people to grow abnormally/unnaturally which creates inauthenticity. this ultimately leads to dishonest, hiding, loneliness, shame, isolation, depression, feelings of worthlessness, and feeling crazy, Join me to today, in the first part of this message on how rules may give you the relationship you always desired.
