Learning to put yourself first is a milestone on your healing path. On today’s show, we are talking about getting to that milestone. Learning to stay focused and trust your inner voice are among the tools that help you reach your goal.

Guest Jen Helvie is a Poet, Holistic Health Practitioner, Nutritional Consultant & Herbalist. She uses her life experiences to help others realize that they are not alone when it comes to life's pain.  After years of ignoring herself followed by years of being a part time caregiver, Jen started writing to be able to speak about her pain and struggles.

Her first book, Ebbs and Flows: Inside The Vastness of My Mind I Fight My Ego for the Space, has been embraced on a national level. New poems are published on her blog bi-weekly and in the upcoming monthly 2015 SIBYL Magazine: For the Spirit and Soul Of Woman.

Jen’s website is jenhelvie.com. You can find her book at jen helvie.com/book.
