Hoarding is the acquiring and keeping of so many possessions that areas of the home become unusable, yet the person continues to avoid any meaningful reduction of the belongings.

Our natural reaction when walking into the home of someone who hoards is to take all of the items and throw them out.  This may be one of the most harmful things we can do when trying to hep the person that hoards.

Join host Tami Neumann in conversation with Debbie Stanley, Mental Health Counselor, Corporate Psychologist and founder of Thoughts In Order.  Through this conversation you will learn that hoarding isn't criminal or abusive to another person and the key points to understanding this behavior.

If you have a loved one, neighbor or friend that you may feel is hoarding please tune in to this two part series about hoarding.  Where we will discuss the Key Points About Hoarding to understand why someone hoards and in Part 2 on September 18 you will learn about Harm Reduction.

If you have a question that you would like to ask Debbie Stanley please be sure to tune into the discussion live and call (646) 478-4343 to speak with Debbie live, or go to Facebook to post your questions that will be asked in the show.
