Why is Barack Obama Silent on the Drug War?

In his book,The Audacity of Hope, Mr. Obama purposed decriminalizing drug dealers and just giving them job training. A search of internet,You Tube,and his website reveals no real drug enforcement plan. He has never addressed the threat of the drug cartels in the United States. As a state senator in Illinois he was against the death penalty for gang related murder for hire and was against the use of conspiracy charges as a prosecutorial tool against drug gangs. Should America have a President who is giving the "Green Light" to drug dealers and their gangs.
