Should Congress Allow Clergy to Express Political Ideas from the Pulpit

Black church leaders and many conservatives are united against secularists in calling for an end to the 1954 law that bans church leaders from expressing political ideas from the pulpit without risk of the religious organization losing tax-exempt status. Religious ideas have played a strong role in American history from the concept of the Declaration of Independence, the abolition of slavery, and into current issues.
