  So there is a lot to talk about this week, but unfortunately, I will not be on the air this Sunday to discuss it, so I am writing some about this week's happenings.  I will be back on the air next Sunday 6/28 at my regular time of 6:00PM EDT.  I will have much more to talk about next Sunday leading up to the July 4th TEA Parties.  Hope you all can join me then.

   

  ABC News Infomercial

   

  As we all learned this week, ABC will be hosting a “news special” from the White House on Wednesday June 24 so that Obama can not have a prime time platform to make a strong push for his national healthcare plan.  In the process, ABC News has refused to have any opposition points of view about National Healthcare such as has been requested by the RNC.  They have also refused to allow the airing of any opposition commercials during the broadcast.  All the way, ABC News has said that this will not be an infomercial for Obamcare.  That is complete B/S and everyone knows it.

   

  What has essentially happened here folks is that Obama has seized control of ABC to promote his plan and of course ABC is complying.  They are still infatuated with the guy so they will continue to do what he wants them to do.  The program is going to be called 'Prescription for America' originating from the East Room, exclude opposing voices on the debate.

   

  Ken McCay from the RNC sent off a letter to ABC to complaint letter about being denied the opportunity to take part and offer an opposing view to the President’s.  He stated…

   

  “In the absence of opposition, I am concerned this event will become a glorified

  infomercial to promote the Democrat agenda. If that is the case, this primetime

  infomercial should be paid for out of the DNC coffers. President Obama does not

  hold a monopoly on health care reform ideas or on free airtime. The President has

  stated time and time again that he wants a bipartisan debate. Therefore, the

  Republican Party should be included in this primetime event, or the DNC should pay for your airtime.”

   

  Here is what an ABC Senior VP came back with…

   

  "ABCNEWS prides itself on covering all sides of important issues and asking direct questions of all newsmakers -- of all political persuasions -- even when others have taken a more partisan approach and even in the face of criticism from extremes on both ends of the political spectrum. ABCNEWS is looking for the most thoughtful and diverse voices on this issue.

  "ABCNEWS alone will select those who will be in the audience asking questions of the president. Like any programs we broadcast, ABC News will have complete

  editorial control. To suggest otherwise is quite unfair to both our journalists and

  our audience."

   

  It’s very clear where this lies folks.  Obama in his normal fashion has demanded airtime from one of his networks and they have granted that to him.  The fact that ABC is denying an opposition voice is clearly showing their bias and I think shows the kind of hand that Obama is playing here.  They are using what is supposed to be an objective news cast to advertise Obamacare.  That is all they are doing.

   

  Wow folks!  This is starting to sound more and more like a Hugo Chavez playbook.  Seizing airwave time to promote your agenda.  Next thing he will likely start using those same tactics to force a shut down of Fox News or something on those lines.  He is constantly crying that Fox News does not like him.  All they have done is report the truth in the news, but because it does not fall in line with the other networks and Obama, they get the crap for it.  I wonder who is winning in the ratings though?

   

  This is pretty scary.  As I’ve mentioned on the air many times, Obama is trying to rapidly pass Obamacare this year.  He is getting Congress to get a bill out ASAP and hopefully vote by August.  It was rather funny this week though when the CBO (Congressional Budget Office) came out and showed what this plan would more than likely cost.  They said Kennedy’s version would cost $1 trillion over 10 years, adding only a net increase of 16 million Americans to the ranks of the insured -- leaving tens of millions uninsured.  When that came out, Robert Gibbs said, “This is not the Administrations bill…”  What horse crap folks.  While Congress is who rights the bills, the president certainly has a big influence in it.  They are just working to distance themselves in case it does go bad.

   

  North Korean Increasing Tensions

   

  As we all know, tensions with North Korea have been on edge for some time now and even more in recent weeks since they tested another nuclear device and started testing missiles.  It is now more and more on edge as North Korea is saying they will fire a missile towards the vicinity of Hawaii on the 4^th of July.  Sec Def, Roberts Gates has ordered interceptors to Hawaii in the advent this is carried out.

   

  How much more of North Korea are we going to put up with?  It seems that the world is going to wait until they actually launch an armed missile at an actual target before anything will be done.

   

  I’ve said this before on my show and I will say it here.  Kim Jong Il has no more interest in using all of these threats as a bargaining chip for some kind of financial award.  He is to the point now that he recognizes nothing will done, because nothing has been done.  He will carry out these threats at some point.  Soon enough we are going to be faced with a very real reality of having North Korea carrying out these threats either against South Korea, Japan, or possibly the on our own soil in the US.  Obama is going to have to wise up to this reality very soon.  I don’t have the faith that he will however.

   

  Of course at the same time this is happening, we find that the House has now voted down the re-insert the $120millino for our Missile Interceptor program to fund the remaining 14 interceptors.  This is from an email I received from the Heritage Foundation on Friday.  The original plan was to have 44 interceptors installed from California to Alaska.  Now there are only 30.  This comes as no surprise.  Do you liberals think we need a missile defense system now?
