  Howdy from Texas!  My name is Lauro Antonio Garza and although I like being called "Lauro," especially by my wife, even my mother called me "Larry."  So you can too, if you like.  I am not only producing my show from Texas but I am also born and raised in Texas although I spent my first school years in Louisiana.  I am a retired police detective, private investigator, consultant, writer and rancher.  Now, as part of my writing efforts, now also work as a conservative political blogger on TexasGOPVote.com.  Since I'm based in the Houston area, most of my contacts are also based there but we are hard at work developing statewide and, someday, nationwide, influence. 
  
  My purpose is to reintroduce Latinos to conservative politics which I believe is best represented in the Republican party.  That party is undergoing a transformation and I don't like everything I have seen and rather than bail out, I opted, instead, to work at the problem internally.  Thus, I became involved, mainly through Facebook, started writing my opinion and didn't back down when people disagreed.  Thus, now, I've made a small name for myself and have had some influence.  Now, in addition to those efforts, I want a greater audience and want to expand opportunities for Latinos in politics.  To do so, I need people in politics to better understand Latinos and the issues that are important to them and I need to help Latinos understand which path best reprsents them. 
  
  I believe Latinos are naturally conservative and as such they are best represented by the platform of the Republican party.  However, not everyone in the party adheres to that platform and that has been the problem.  So, I will address the GOP leadership's failings and the deceptions of liberalism and its political home, the Democrat, the Socialist, and the Green parties. 
  
  Occassionally, I'll talk about other subjects that interest me, like law enforcement and some folks may have questions best suited for a private investigator.  I also am an amateur historian and have published many articles on that.  Lastly, I am an avid outdoorsman and hunter and enjoy discussions about hunting, fishing and the outdoors.  I hope you will come along for the ride.   Saddle up!
