  Happy Holidays

  Dave and I would like to take this opportunity to thank our readers for purchasing a copy of one of our 3 books or ordering them from their library. By purchasing our books you have helped us support important organizations such as Seeds of Diversity (www.seeds.ca), the Canadian Wildlife Federation (www.cwf.org) and the SPCA (www.spca.bc.ca). 
  
  A sincere note of appreciation to all the generous guests who have appeared on my radio show in 2007 (including William in the upcoming Dec 27th broadcast). Their stories have inspired many listeners and, speaking for myself - I find every discussion gives me more energy to do more in my own life on a daily basis. 
  
  As the host of Conscious Discussions, I would like to express my gratitude for the kind listeners. Your words of encouragement and your support are the very things that keep me going in this regard. To reach so many of you and to have some impact on encouraging you to be more proactive in life, is such an honor and I appreciate your communications very much.
  
  Finally, Dave and I would like to express our appreciation for all our Drum-it Percussion Customers. In 2007, we have had the honor of numerous young drum students, hosting several workshops and repairing hand drums for individuals and music stores. We have also been working with school music teachers in refurbishing and repairing their percussive instruments as well. Dave has found a wonderfully reliable supplier of drum skins and he is now able to supply this product to drummers and those who do drum repairs or manufacturing. 
  
  It has been a very good year in so many ways - and all of this has to do with the incredible support we have received from across the globe for the work we do.

  Youth Violence - what can we do?

  This is a perfect time of year to reflect on youth violence. Why does it occur in our communities?   Author Interview; poet and nonfiction, historical fiction and environment

  Author Anca Vlasopolos will be here to discuss her historical fiction novel "New Bedford Samuri", which was released in Sept 2007 through Twilight Times Books. The author chose to use this novel to share meditations on the environment. She has also penned a poetry collection, entitled Penguins in a Warming World, a police procedural entitled Missing Members and a memoir entitled No Return Address.
