Dr. Leonard Rosmarin is Professor Emeritus of French Literature at Brock University in Ontario, Canada. He is the author of ten books as well as hundreds of papers and articles on various aspects of francophone literature from the 17th to the 21st centuries. His latest book, a study on the novels of the Nobel Prize winner, Elie Wiesel, will appear during the fall. Fully bilingual, Dr. Rosmarin writes in both English and French. He has been decorated twice by the Government of France for outstanding service in the cause of French letters, and was Visiting Professor in the School for Doctoral Studies at the University of Perpignan in the South of France from 1992 till 2002. He is at present working on a new book that will evoke his half-century love affair with France. In addition to loving literature, Dr. Rosmarin is a self-confessed opera addict. He has written a work on the relationship between these two arts titled When Literature Becomes Opera. He has led excursions to opera houses of Europe for both McGill and Brock University. He has recently been engaged as a pre-performance lecturer by the Canadian Opera Company in Toronto and is very excited about this new career. His novel, Getting Enough, is based on his over-the-top, larger-than-life Jewish family in Montréal. Needless to say, he has changed all the names and circumstances to protect the guilty. ...Find the Host - Lillian Brummet - @: www.brummet.ca
