When I first heard about the Impact Program at state prisons in California and the also the Rwandan Orphan’s Project I was definitely intrigued, but then when I visited the Rwandan Orphan’s Project site and viewed some of the videos available there… well I was just in tears and awe at the same time. What these kids go through, what great hearts had to do to create a safe refuge for them, and all the courage displayed – it really does strike awe in your heart. Our guest today is Gabriel Constans – He has worked with people experiencing grief, loss and trauma for over 35 years. He has 12 books published in North America, including Beyond One's Own - healing humanity after personal tragedy; the novel Buddha's Wife and The Skin of Lions - Rwandan Folk Tales. As s a freelance journalist, Gabriel writes for magazines and newspapers in Europe, Asia, Africa and the U.S. He is the father of 5 children and 1 grandchild in the United States and an adviser for the Rwandan Orphan's Project.
