A recent AARP poll asked: Which type of burial is most appealing? Only 8% polled wanted a traditional cemetery burial and only 18% chose cremation. 70.4% of those polled through the AARP website chose Green Burial. In Europe green burial and natural burials are all the rage, here in North America we seem to be just catching on to the idea. Although green burial is a hot topic, the public is not too familiar with what it really means. So what is this all about? – We’ll find out today through our very special guest Elizabeth Fournier of Cornerstone Funeral Services & Cremation. She works as a green mortician, educator and advocate who is always ready to lend a hand, or a shovel. She is the voice of the autopsy exhibit in the forensic wing at the United States National Museum of Medicine, and recently published her memoir, All Men Are Cremated Equal: My 77 Blind Dates.
