    Blogtalkradio is expereincing technical difficulty so the show is not airing today.  I am trying to reschedule Paul Raffaele and Dr. Stoinski for a later date.

    Here are a few things I wanted to update you about this week. 

    I wanted to update you on the situation in Puerto Rico.  Several weeks ago I reported about the pet massacre that took place in barceloneta.  Where a company came in and took all the pets from a housing complex and instead of taking them to a shelter, threw them from a 50 foot bridge.  Since then, Puerto Rico has reported that it lost close to 15 million dollars of tourist revenue in one month.  The mayor of barceloneta pledged to build a town shelter and Puerto Rican government officials are holding a day to honor all animals.  It’s a start but the real change will come when the government pledges to enforce its animal cruelty laws.  So keep the pressure on.  On care2.com there is a petition you can sign to encourage the government.  It currently has 50,000 signatures.
