    Opening day of archery season

Hey all, This is Randy from Compass Outdoors.  This opening day of archery deer season came upon us quickly.  A long awaited pleasure that I enjoy all year.  My opening day was cold we had a north wind which made it about 30 deg here in Michigan.  I was happy because I knew the deer would be moving since a pending rain storm was coming th next day.. As I started out to my blind I jumped a deer which ran across the bean foeld that I am hunting.  I got to my blind got settled in about 1 hour before legal shooting time.  About 7:15 am I heard a crack outside my blind.  I looked lowly to the right and low and behold 2 does at 5 yards.  As soon as they seen my popup blind a snort and gone across the field.  Apparently the deer were not used to the blind even though it has been out 2 weeks.  About 7;30 I had a large doe and two little ones in the bean field about 30 yards.  I watched them for about 10 mins because after they seen the blind thay blew and ran too.  I don't know what it is about pop ups but alot of times in my area the deer don't like them.  Anyways I seen nothing else the rest of the morning.  It was great being out in God's creation once again chasing the elusive whitetails.  I have since went out again and seen a few does, This time the blind was ok I had camoed it with grass, branches, and vines after the opening morning hunt.  The deer ate in the field and never gave it a second look.  Well thats it or me Til next time I 'll see you in the Field.  Oh ya the test show for Compass Outdoors will be coming up shortly so stay tuned.  Any question or comments reply here or email us at compassoutdoors@hotmail.com
