Have you ever wondered how to turn your speeches into chapters of a book?
CLASS Radio is pleased to welcome, speaker, songwriter and author Cheryl Kirking to the show!
Today we will be discussing the following topics:
1. Three suggestions for turning talks and songs into short stories and ultimately books.
2. Suggestions for turning life experiences into books.
3. The best resources for emerging authors in the general market and in the Christian market in particular.
You can tell by the following book titles , that Cheryl is master at putting her life experiences down on paper. Some of her books include: "Crayons in the Dryer: Misadventures and Unexpected Blessings of Motherhood," (Life Journey), "Ripples of Joy"(Random House) "All is Calm, All is Bright"(Revell/Baker) , "Teacher, You're an A+" (Harvest House) and her new Christmas gift book with song CD, "What Can I Give Jesus?, " illustrated by Ann Thomas, (Mill House Press. She is the winner of the 2007 Moonbeam Award for excellence in children's literature, and finalist for the 2008 Benjamin Franklin award for best gift book. Cheryl is a frequent contributor to the best-selling "Chicken Soup for the Soul" series and has recorded 6 CDs on the Mill Pond Music label.
