McWilliams

Dear America,

I am a young conservative. I live pay check to pay check and really, I am lucky to have a job. I was working in retail and I had been at the same job for 2 years. Then I got laid off. A construction company took a chance on me even though I had no experience and limited knowledge. I have now been there for four years and have job security, for now. As it is for many small businesses, times are tough and the forecast is gloomy. Money is tight and the struggle is ongoing. However if it were not for their generosity there is a strong possibility that I would be one of the 15 million Americans looking for a job.

I tell you these things because the fact is, it is getting more and more difficult for small businesses to keep or hire employees. And our dear King Obama is not making it any easier. I heard a story the other day; it was a woman who was managing a small plumbing business in New York. The business opened in 2002 with only one truck. Today they have 15 trucks and have a need to hire another skilled plumber, but she said they can’t! They can’t because it is too expensive for them to hire a new employee vs. the money they would make off his appointments. And do you know why? Healthcare, its costs them too much money per employee with the rising rates from Obamacare looming over the insurance companies shoulders. Ridiculous! Had their rates not gone up they could have hired someone, yet because our dear King favors a socialist healthcare format they can’t give a job to one of our jobless.

I wish it ended there, but it doesn’t. Right now small businesses also have to worry about their taxes going up. Liberals just don’t get it. 65% of all new jobs are created by small businesses! Why don’t they get it? I wish I knew because it drives me crazy. The ambiguously socialist duo of Pelosi and Reid just don’t get it. Their policies are killing jobs, not creating them. And Pelosi is still out having parties to celebrate all of their “accomplishments”. Laughable.

So my hope is that John Boehner and the newly elected republican congress will hold true to their word. I know they can’t do it all; their promises were bigger than they can deliver (Obama won’t sign anything repealing his signature piece of legislation). But try, show the American people that you want to make the changes. Show them that when we elect a conservative in 2012 that these changes will be made. Obamacare repealed, a focus on policies that encourage small business growth and bringing jobs back to America (manufacturing companies are currently taking advantage of cheap labor in other countries).

Sincerely

Kehgan
