On Wednesday, May 19th, 2010, Comet Radio will explore the world of music blogs. Our guest is Ryan Matteson. Ryan is Owner/Editor-in-Chief of Muzzle of Bees. For five plus years, Ryan has worked to establish Muzzle of Bees as one of the premiere music blogs. Focusing on Wisconsin and Illinois, Muzzle of Bees helps to promote and maintain live music through features on concert and album reviews. In addition, Ryan has covered major music festivals including: Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, SXSW and Austin City Limits. In 2007, Ryan was an official Lollapalooza blogger. This year has been extremely busy for Ryan and Muzzle of Bees. In February, he hosted Muzzle of Bees’ 5 year anniversary show. If that was not enough, a month later at SXSW, Muzzle of Bees hosted a showcase at the music conference. The showcase featured a combination of Milwaukee artists and national acts. By day, Ryan is the Director of Public Relations at the Pabst Theater, were he oversees the public relations efforts of all three historic music venues: The Pabst and Riverside Theaters, and Turner Ballroom. Ryan will be Live on Comet Radio to discuss his role in the world of music blogs. The Comet Branding Radio show is dedicated to being a platform for discussing the evolving elements of branding, marketing, PR and social media with the people leading the charge. The show is hosted in Milwaukee by Al Krueger and Sara Meaney from Comet Branding.
