On Wednesday, May 12th, 2010, Comet Radio will explore the world of sports and social media. Our guest is Mike Grahl of the Milwaukee Bucks. Mike is the Bucks Interactive Marketing Manager. We will be discussing how the Bucks’ use social media to drive enthusiasm and engage their fan base. This year the Bucks had one of their most successful seasons in almost a decade. Grahl and his team replicated that success online, implementing and supporting such programs as 6th Fan Blogger, Milwaukee Bucks TV Companion, and Squad 6. The Bucks also had a break through with the slogan “Fear The Deer.” The term, coined by a sportscaster, has become the Bucks’ battle cry and their own unique hashtag. Grahl will be live on Comet Radio to discuss his role with the Bucks and why you should “Fear The Deer”.
