Columbia J-school's MA in Arts and Culture program presents dialogues with dynamic writers and artists of varying backgrounds. Robert Levine was the executive editor of
Billboard and has written for Vanity Fair, Rolling Stone, and the arts and business sections of the New York Times. Before that, he was features editor at New York magazine and Wired. His first book, Free Ride: How the Internet is Destroying the Culture Business and How the Culture Business Can Fight Back (Doubleday), was called “brilliant if depressing” by the Times (U.K.) and garnered praise from the Guardian and the Financial Times. Levine will be in conversation with Michelle Broder Van Dyke and Chris Berube. The show is produced by Richard Conway, Kristen Brown and Laura Ming. Executive producer: Prof. Alisa Solomon.
