While the political season is heavily underway and all the talk is about the economy, the Black community has a lot more than money on the line. Our health is at issue and is, quite literally, a matter of life and death right now, given the alarming statistics.

If you’ve been listening from month to month, you know we’ve been focusing on the issues of importance to the Black community this year, and tonight, it’s all about our health: not just what’s wrong with it, but what we, as a people, can do about it. 

Dr. Bailey is President of the National Medical Association, an organization dedicated to advancing the art and science of medicine for people of African descent, and doing that through education, advocacy and health policy… all to promote health and wellness in our communities and eliminate the health disparities.
