Press [1] For Democracy covers current political news from a transpartisan viewpoint.  In other words, putting the country before the party.  Extra emphasis on Money in Politics issues.

As the 2014 mid-term elections draw near, some choices seem fairly clear – some not so much.  Looking strictly at their approaches to the economy, the Republicans remain entrenched in their position of shrinking government and helping the so-called job creators grow us out of our doldrums.  But what solutions are the Democrats offering?

Will the Democrats campaign during this next cycle on tax hikes for the wealthy?  Or, are they too afraid that the wealthy will turn their backs on them when it comes time to fundraise?  Will they call for a Wall Street transaction tax, or instead conceal their desire for fear that Wall Street firms will refuse to fill their campaign coffers?  In short, has the corruption of Washington become so complete that the Democrats selling out their base in order to woo big business and the wealthy – a.k.a. the people who would normally be identified as Republican supporters?
