About the show:
We've all been concerned about the Voter ID laws being implemented in many key states. Even if everyone were to have the right ID, we need to insure the votes are counted properly. That means voting machines are front and center.
Today we are joined by County Supervisor and former County Clerk Susan B. Anderson who oversaw the purchase of new voting machines in Fresno County, CA. What was the criteria that Susan used in selecting voting machines? Who set the guidelines? Was the public involved? In the end, what type of machines were chosen?
Next we'll hear from Marybeth Kuznik of VotePA, an advocacy group for voting rights and election integrity in Pennsylvania. Marybeth will share her experience with voting machine certification process and the implications for election integrity.
