SPEAK UP!: A WOMAN'S GUIDE TO PRESENTING LIKE A PRO

I loved this show with communications consultant and professional presenter, Cyndi Maxey! I truly wish I had the opportunity to read the book she co authored with Kevin O'Connor, Speak UP!A Woman's Guide to Presenting like a Pro, seven years ago when I gave my very first professional presentation at the United Way.This book is jammed packed with tips and tricks women can use as we are preparing and wrapping up a presentation. I like the book and the companion CD because they cover topics from what style of dress that best suits women presenters, to story telling tips, even handling not so user-friendly technology.

During the show, Cyndi walked me step by step on ways that I could have prevented my United Way nightmare seven years ago. She shared with us the common pitfalls that most women presenters make and how to stand confidently in our natural feminine abilities as women. If you did not get a chance to listen to the show live, don't worry, you can catch the archives by clicking here!
