I was so pleased to have Dr. Susan Bernstein as a guest on my show this week. With the economy being flip floppy, people are at a loss as to how they will meet these challenges. One of the biggest challenges during this time is job stability. People are losing their job left and right, and they are finding that securing a new job is not as easy as handing out a resume.

Susan offered listeners practical and creative tools on staying positive and focused during the job search. Susan impressed me with her ability to blend both the practical and the spiritual, a very different approach to the average head hunter or career counselor.

Susan addressed this issue dead on by creating The Job Search Gym. The Job Search Gym™ helps mid- to senior-level professionals with 5+ years of work experience in strategically finding the next job. In her 10-week group coaching “workout”, clients can build the "marketing muscle" and inner "mental fitness" to land a job that really fits them.

Susan earned an MBA at the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley, and a PhD in Somatic Psychology from the Santa Barbara Graduate Institute. Her doctoral research investigates the career transition process. She shares with her clients her advanced training in experiential learning, motivation, self-efficacy, transformational processes, holistic learning, philosophy, and psychology. In addition to coaching participants in the Job Search Gym, I am also the founder of Work from Within.
