    Date / Time:

Chris Keane, author and screenwriter, with a new book, "ROMANCING THE A-LIST..."

I'm not able to formally schedule my guests over 30 days in advance on blogtalkradio.com but I can't wait to tell you who will be on my show, "Leading the Way to Success," on May 10th.  He is Chris Keane and he is a delight. Chris is the author of "The Hunter," the movie made famous by Steve McQueen.

I had the great good fortune to study under Chris's tutelage in Maui for a week several years ago. I signed up for his script writing course in an attempt to zero in on my writing "genre" as they say. I worked very hard and learned a lot but had no clue just how much work scriptwriting is. Nevertheless, we've stayed in touch and now he has a new book out called, "ROMANCING THE A-LIST: Writing the Script The Big Stars Want to Make." The book will be available at Amazon.com in April 2008.

You might expect an author with another new book on the stands to only want to promote his book but Chris has agreed to focus on what led him to success. Here are the topics he gave me that figured high in his professional and personal development:

"1. The Colliding Trains Love Letter
     2.   How Little Red Riding Hood Made Me A Writer
     3.   When Things Were Never as They Seemed on the Beach at Biarritz
     4.   Star Kills Aura: When the Colt .45 went off at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel and Nothing Was Ever the Same Again."

I'm so curious about what he says to say on those topics that I'm not sure I can wait until May 10th!

However, I have several exciting guests scheduled prior to the interview with Chris. This Saturday, I will be talking to a senior executive of Good Will Industries who is in the process of her own professional development and constantly strengthening her already strong leadership skills. Teri Kelsall is a warm, funny, bright and highly capable leader who will provide a candid look at the joys and sorrows of professional development.

On April 5th, my guest is Todd Skiles, an executive with Innovision, Inc. This is another situation like the interview with Christina Merkley, where I am introducing you to a product--not because this show is for sale--but because these are folks who have developed unique tools that can help promote successful leadership.

For the last year I have been a beta tester for Todd's product, called "Keypoint." It is a technical way for my audiences to have instant feedback about the group's opinions, attitutudes and or knowledge. Using a small numbered keypad, seminar participants can punch in their answers and within seconds see a powerpoint slide in chart form reporting the data. The impact on audiences is amazing. I know you will enjoy hearing Todd's story about the development of this technology as well as his own keys to success.

    To be continued!
