    "LEADING THE WAY TO SUCCESS"

    Today I have an exciting announcement! You may have noticed that my show has a new title, "Leading the Way to Success." That is also the title of my new book to be published in July 2008! My eleven co-authors of "Leading the Way to Success" include Warren Bennis, the internationally-regarded USC management professor and author, and the author of the "Chicken Soup" series, Jack Canfield! I am honored to be in the company of such distinguished experts writing on the subject of leadership.

    In September I will be holding my first book signing at a Conference in Tampa, Florida where I am a Plenary speaker. Seven hundred executives will be attending this 3rd national conference on Women, Addiction and Recovery and I am honored to have been invited to address them on the subject of leadership.

    Back to the book, my chapter is entitled "Emotionally-Intelligent Management." In a conversation with the immensely-talented publisher, David Wright, President of Insight Publishing, I talk about emotional intelligence (or "EQ") and the role it has played in my own development as a leader--both on a professional as well as a personal level. Essentially, the concepts of EQ have allowed me to develop the maturity so vital to excellence and I feel fortunate that I have "Leading the Way to Success" as a vehicle to share what I have learned.
