Emmet Mitchell on Strengthening Families through Fatherhood

5:pm Est. – We will be discussing what Emmet has been doing since last being a guest on the show and the Project he is working as  Chariman of Milestone Agency, which is the Strengthening Families through Fatherhood Initiative encompasses a group of trainings and workshops that examine what needs to be done to ensure that fathers are included in child care and family support work. It looks at the role of fathers (young vulnerable fathers, working fathers, separated fathers) in families and talks about the presence and importance of fathers in their children’s lives.   The program seeks to enable men to become ‘good enough’ fathers and promote the safety and welfare of all family members. Survivor, Success & Leadership and the Survivors to Providers Awareness training programs are part of this overall initiative.
