  Andrew Krauss is as practical as he is passionate. Despite technical glitches that resulted in a two dropped calls during the course of our discussion, we recovered and quickly got back on track with the shows topic Grassroots Innovation: The Art of Invention.
  
  Once Andrew Krauss, president of the hugely popular Inventors Alliance and co-founder with successful inventor Stephen Key of InventRight, got to talking about the real-world challenges of product developers (he prefers this term to inventors since for many people the word conjures images of "crazy guys running around in pointed tin hats.").
  
  We chatted about the risks and rewards that product developers must consider when disclosing their ideas and why provisional patents can save you thousands of dollars and also serve as a protection against someone ripping off your idea.
