Heena Verma is leading the charge in India by laying the foundation for a new entrepreneurial workplace culture in her country. This entrepreneurial "blend" could become the new competitive advantage as innovation becomes the true differentiator of companies worldwide, and one that could create a level playing field for India well within a decade. Currently pursuing a PhD at top-ranked Amity University on “Fostering Intrapreneurship: Growth & Development in the Indian Corporate Scenario”, Heena decided to pursue her studies as a means of closing gaps between employee motivation and workplace innovation.
Heena reached out to me last year after reading my coverage of TiEcon on my blog The Ultimate Corporate Entrepreneur given her own involvement with TiE locally. "I strongly believe that corporate entrepreneurship will be the mantra of successful organizations in the years to come. It’s in its nascent stage in India but catching up fast."
Heena and I discussed corporate entrepreneurial developments in India and leading organizational change. You can download the MP3 file here and listen to our 45-minute conversation.
