Paul Golla is the head football coach at Bakersfield (CA) High School, a position he assumed in 2005. In his seven years at the helm of the Drillers, he has led BHS to 6 league championships, appeared in 4 valley (CIF) championships, winning it 3 times, and has made 2 semi-final appereances. A 1994 graduate of University of Mary, where he earned two letters as an outside linebacker, Golla has won an exceptional 76 games in his seven years at BHS. He has also served in coaching stints at Victoria (TX) High School, Silverado (CA) High School, Serrano (CA) High School, the University of Redlands, and the University of Mary. One of the most respected interscholastic coaches in the game, Golla is a much sought-after clinic speaker who is renowned as a cutting-edge coach.
Tonight will be the last show of “Moving the Chains”. For the last show I brought on one of the most respected coaches in the coaching ranks. (Coach Paul Golla) He will talk about the flexbone attack and how it led him to a 13-0 championship season this year. Bakersfield has averaged over 40 points a game while running the flexbone offense. Today Coach Golla will talk about his Pistol Offensive Attack.
