Coach James Vint has been both an offensive and defensive coordinator at the high school and collegiate levels, and currently is defensive line coach and special teams coordinator at Coronado High School, a 5A school in Lubbock, Texas. Previous to this position Coach Vint was an assistant coach at Truman State University. Prior to Truman State University, Coach Vint served on the coaching staff at Christopher Columbus High School in the Bronx, New York, where he helped turn around a gridiron program that had a 20-game losing streak. In his second season at Columbus, the Blue Steel qualified for the playoffs for the first time in school history, a feat that they achieved four times over a six-year period. During his five seasons on the Columbus staff (2000-2004), the Blue Steel offense averaged 256 yards a game on the ground. Vint is a widely sought-after speaker at clinics throughout the country, and has been featured on a number of well-received instructional DVDs. (This bio is provided from Coaches Choice.com)
