Miami, FL – Whether it’s their career or their relationships, many people possess self-limiting beliefs that prevent them from achieving their dreams. For some, these self-limiting beliefs require psychotherapy. For others, however, sometimes all that’s required is simple guidance, someone to hold them accountable.

For over 20 years, licensed psychotherapist Mara Fisher has been teaching, mentoring and professionally assisting clients to work through the irrational thought patterns that prevent them from taking action. As the founder of Bridge of Life Coaching and Counseling Services, Mara helps her clients to bridge the gap between thinking about their dreams and making them happen.

“People want to be happy, but nobody really knows what that means,” says Mara. “Part of what I do is help my clients learn how to define happiness for themselves and then guide them on their path to obtaining that happiness.”

In addition to her training as a licensed clinical social worker, Mara is a certified master coach, Imago therapist, NLP master practitioner and Ericksonian hypnotherapist. While most psychotherapists and coaches are often trained in one or two modalities, Fisher believes the more training a therapist has, the more effective they can be.

“People have wounds and those are the things that often keep them stuck, says Mara. “If I don’t have the tools to help a person heal their wounds, I’m not going to be very successful coaching them. My goal is to help people be as happy as they can be, so I’m constantly learning.”

Bridge of Life clients typically communicate with Mara via telephone. According to Mara, she’s found people are more comfortable sharing intimate details over the phone.

“The clients I work with are very motivated," says Mara. "It’s all about moving forward.”
