Christine has devoted her life to enriching the lives of others through her professional work as an educator and reading specialist. Growing up as the eldest grandchild in her family, this role of educating and leadership came quite naturally. In the early part of her career she deems the “light bulb” moment that she witnessed in her students, as the driving force for furthering her career.
Christine earned her Master’s degree from Kean University along with receiving certification from Orton Gillingham. Christine spent five years as an elementary teacher and reading specialist at the South Plainfield Public School System in New Jersey. She also serves as an adjunct professor at Caldwell College working with students by teaching reading elementary and student teaching seminar.
“On the collegiate level, I try to exhibit what works and may not work with lesson plans, resumes, and methods of teaching. For my work with elementary students, I focus on their comprehension skills, letter identification, and identifying any learning issues the student may face,” says Warian.
Currently, Christine is a literary coach and teacher with the Highland Park Public School District. Here, Christine shares her knowledge with teachers to enhance the educational experiences that the teachers share with their students. Christine works with the faculty to locate problem areas and implement strategies to overcome obstacles in order to achieve greater success among students.
Christine has earned respect of the educational community and has had the privilege to speak at universities and schools about her knowledge in classroom management and literacy. She is also currently pursuing her doctoral degree.
