Education reform continues to be a leading national priority. In March, the Obama administration released its blueprint for revising the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA), asking the states to adopt college- and career-ready standards, and to reward schools for producing dramatic gains in student achievement. But everyone knows that adopting new standards is only part of the solution. In her books "It's Being Done," and "How It's Being Done," author Karin Chenoweth highlights examples of schools that are succeeding despite indicators that they and their students should fail. In this episode of CLExhange OnAir, Chenoweth, shares her observations about the role collective leadership can play in boosting student performance, improving school/community relations and helping America's most challenged schools to succeed.
