Across the country, local people are reclaiming their history through story. These new narratives can be powerful tools in the struggle for social justice. In this, our inaugural show, we talk with digital storytelling experts from the Llano Grande Center in South Texas about the role of story in community change work. Llano Grande works to revitalize the Edcouch-Elsa community by engaging local youth in community change initiatives, developing youth leaders, creating access to higher education, and documenting and celebrating local history and culture. Interviews from this show were recorded during a recent convening of the Community Learning Exchange.
