My Guest today is: Clay Douglas & Mark Elsis on American Exceptionalism 4
Americans have more cars than licensed drivers, and gas-guzzling sport utility vehicles are among the best-selling vehicles. New houses in the United States are 38% bigger in 2002 than in 1975, despite having fewer people per household. There is only so much food, timber, petroleum, and other natural resources to go around. The global economy cannot grow indefinitely on a finite planet. The more we consume, the less will be available for others. Resources will gradually become more and more depleted, this in turn will make prices rise, which will become especially difficult for the poor, then this will happen to almost everyone at all income levels. The way I see it, we are shortsighted greedy thieves who are stealing from our future generations.
Every American needs to understand that the entire national press is controlled, and is simply giving you the "news" you are supposed to have. Very soon, all alternative sources of news, including this website, will be shut down. That time draws ever closer. "In order to put public opinion into our hands we must bring it into a state of bewilderment by giving expression from all sides to so many contradictory opinions and for such length of time as will suffice to make the [average person] lose their heads in the labyrinth and come to see that the best thing is to have no opinion of any kind, in matters political."
