CJ, Thank you for listening to the African American Literary Review! GURL! You just don't know the half of what went down with that!! lol! First of all, there was a storm the night before the show. We had wide-spread power-outage. Praying and hoping that the power would be restored in my neck of the woods, I prayed some more and called her publicist with the info. I asked if instead of me calling her, perhaps she, Diahann Carroll would call in to the show. They told me to call her around air time and inform her. I did so, spoke with the DIVA HERSELF, and she said that if her publicist was going to PAY for this call, then it would be a GO! You know that wasn't going to happen, so Ms. Carroll suggested that I give her a call the next morning at ten and we could do the interview then. Right? Right! Well, I called at 9:58am and Ms. Carroll remembered who I was, but she wa puzzled why I had called when she had spoke to her publicist and rescheduled the interview for later on in the afternoon! I was upset because I hadn't received anything from the publicist! Not a email, not a phone call...nothing! NADA! Ms. Carroll told me she would speak to me then. GURL...I received the phone call from the publicist at 3pm...3PM telling me that the interview was rescheduled. I told her that I wasn't rescheduling the interview. That was that. I decided that two tries was enough and I wouldn't pursue it any further. At least I got a chance to laugh and speak to Ms. Carroll TWO DAYS IN A ROW!
