The Citadel Bulldogs Hockey  

After a cinderella season, in which the Bulldogs were able to fight their way to a second place finish in the Blue Ridge Hockey Conference. The dogs are ready for the season to start to prove that they belong with the best teams not only in the south, but in the nation as well.

    Briden Will Play For The Bulldogs



    Charleston, SC---Mark Briden, a 6’2” forward from Batavia, IL, will be attending The Citadel in the fall. He has been playing hockey since the age of four and travel since his squirt years. He has played on Varsity all four years of high school, and was one of only three players in Batavia Hockey’s history to make it to the Chicago Showcase. He was invited to play on the IIC showcase team and played against the national champs from Russia and Latvia this spring. He was also invited to a tournament to play with the Jr. C national champs; the Huskies after his showcase team nearly defeated the Russian champs. Throughout High School Mark also played as a starting wide receiver on the football team, and a 400 meter and 800 meter track runner. Mark chose The Citadel because he plans on pursuing a career in the Marine Corps.
